What more can you say?? I am for academic freedom, freedom of expression, but there are also rules. At least this course should be treated like literature, ethnology, philosophy (desi..), but not science! Any, but not science! Finally I understand (I don't accept) the exaggerated attitude of Americans who hunt creationists. It's like that period when those who smelled like communists were hunted down. It's like the much-criticized war in Vietnam. You are capable of anything to get rid of a very big evil, what is communism like. In Romania, I knew people who said they would have attacked not China, but Romania with atomic bombs, if it was to escape the danger of communism.
Ignorance, prejudice, the immorality that hides behind creationism, there are real dangers. Sure, science will also help us to remove them, and I'm not talking about atomic bombs.
I'm just wondering, these creationists, if he saw a monkey with a bigger brain, grown in the laboratory, through prenatal manipulation, similar to what would have happened to humans millions of years ago, would begin to believe that an intelligent designer was not needed for the appearance of man? I do not guarantee that people can be made in the laboratory (they are unrepeatable phenomena, hard to guess, with little importance at the time, give determinant), but that many of their specific characters can be reproduced by natural means in the laboratory. Actually, I don't like to say before, because there are factors that depend on other people, but... something is being prepared. Anyway, I know how it would be done, there are people with laboratories who are willing to do it. If it is not possible with some, it will be possible with others (in research, money is essential, and they are not brought from home, this is where the risk comes from).
And, I'm almost sure (you are not allowed to say more in science) that monkeys with bigger brains can be made, monkeys without fur, and not through genetic manipulation, but by mimicking the effects of some ecological phenomena at the biochemical level. Behavioral changes should follow these changes. It's called predictions. Smart design can? But creationism? At least another flood is predicted? While in bad science, rece, things are different.
